The first day of the National Healthcare Congress has ended in Moscow
On the first day of the IV National Congress with International participation "National Healthcare 2025", which is being held at the Rossiya National Center, 20 business events dedicated to topical health issues took place. The Congress is organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation. The organizing partner of the event is FSBI "TSNIIOIZ" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
At the Opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova read out a welcome letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants of the National Healthcare 2025 Congress.
Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, sent a video message to the Participants of the Congress: "Issues of improving the technological efficiency and effectiveness of medical care, expanding opportunities to provide citizens with treatment, including high-tech, throughout the country, and even in the most remote areas and corners of the country, and introducing new advanced techniques should always be in the spotlight. I am absolutely sure that your ideas and suggestions will make a significant contribution to the development of national healthcare. I wish you all fruitful work, interesting discussions, and new achievements. And for everyone to be healthy."
Tatiana Golikova stressed that issues of population preservation, health promotion, and family well-being are an absolute priority for the government. The global health trend is a shift in focus to early detection of health threats. Pre-risk medicine plays a key role here: "One of the elements of global national medicine strategies is pre-risk medicine with regular screening examinations. We must anticipate the disease before it appears. We are developing the tools for this. For example, thanks to genetic research, we can identify a hereditary predisposition to cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders."
The moderator of the Plenary session, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, announced the end of the transition period to an electronic medical history: "We have completed a certain stage in the implementation of national projects. An infrastructure has been created to provide care to patients with cardiovascular diseases and oncological diseases. A large number of measures and works have been carried out to modernize the primary care, and most importantly, we have completed the transition period to an electronic medical history."
Mikhail Murashko noted that thanks to the modern development of healthcare, new opportunities for patients are emerging: "If earlier medicine was primarily concerned with treatment, today, taking into account scientific achievements, infrastructure, and digital capabilities, a new entity appears when a patient, if he has certain diseases, can learn how to manage health together with a doctor, in fact make the most of your opportunities," the minister explained."
The business program of the second day of the Congress includes 14 business events, including the Plenary Session "Food matters: Why is our Diet a matter of national Health?" moderated by Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, and Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
