In St. Petersburg, a blogger tried to set fire to a police building
In St. Petersburg, police detained a 29-year-old local resident for attempting to set fire to a police building. This was announced on October 23 in the press service of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 22, at approximately 20:00 local time (coincides with Moscow time). A woman approached the entrance gate of a police unit located on Zagreb Boulevard, set fire to two molotov cocktails and threw them towards the gate.
According to the Izvestia source, blogger Diana was detained. Only one bottle caught fire — next to the official cars.
The police detained the arsonist on the spot. It is noted that there are no casualties. The fire was extinguished by police officers on their own.
It was previously established that the blogger acted on the instructions of unknown persons. A criminal case has been opened against the girl under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted commission of a terrorist act").
On October 1, FSB officers detained five Russian citizens who were preparing mass killings in Donetsk, Mariupol, Krasnoyarsk and Orel. During the searches, explosives, cold steel and materials from terrorist organizations were found in their possession. Criminal cases have been initiated against the detainees under articles related to the preparation of terrorist attacks and participation in terrorist organizations.
