The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan confirmed the explosion of a UAV in the west of the country

On October 23, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan officially confirmed the data on the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the border area.

The incident occurred in the West Kazakhstan region, as previously reported by local media.

"An explosion of an unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown origin has been recorded in the Burlinsky district of the West Kazakhstan region. The wreckage was found in a remote area, outside the residential area. No injuries or material damage have been registered," the ministry said.

According to the Defense Ministry, additional measures have already been taken to strengthen control over the airspace. Consultations are currently underway with foreign partners to establish the ownership of the drone.

Earlier, information spread on social networks that a drone, presumably belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), had fallen in the area. The media published photos of the wreckage, which have inscriptions in Ukrainian.
