A resident of Ufa, who threw his three-year-old daughter out of a window on the fourth floor, was transferred from a pre-trial detention center to a psychiatric hospital for examination. This was reported to Izvestia on October 23 by a law enforcement source.

"The investigator of the Investigative Committee has appointed a psychological and psychiatric forensic examination in relation to the defendant. It will be held approximately within a month. Based on the results, a conclusion will be made about his sanity at the present time and at the time of the crime, as well as recommendations regarding his treatment and detention," the department explained.

The incident occurred on October 9th. On the same day, a resident of Ufa was detained. A criminal case was opened against the defendant under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder"). On October 10, he was charged.

The investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for Bashkortostan reported that a medical examination revealed no signs of intoxication in the man who threw his daughter out of the window.

As a neighbor of the family told Izvestia, the man who threw away his daughter was abusing alcohol. The pensioner noted that the girl's mother did not do this, but continued to live with her husband, despite his bad habits.

On October 21, Bashkortostan's Minister of Health, Airat Rakhmatullin, announced that a girl who was thrown out of a window by her father in Ufa was on the mend.
