A court in Moscow has banned websites selling temporary registration
The Izmailovsky District Court of Moscow blocked websites that offered temporary registration services. This is stated in the case file, which was reviewed by Izvestia on October 23.
We are talking about resources where anyone could get a temporary residence permit at their place of residence for money.
The court clarified that fictitious registration at the place of residence is a criminal offense — this applies to both registration of foreigners and citizens of the Russian Federation. An attacker who has committed such a crime can face up to five years in prison.
Earlier in the day, Sergei Kolunov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services (United Russia), said that living in a rented apartment in another region without registration for more than three months could lead to fines of 3-5 thousand rubles for both the tenant and the landlord. The exception is when a person lives with close relatives.
