"It is a special pleasure for me that our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has come to congratulate me," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.
The director also added that it was a great honor for him to announce the award of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, whose holder was his father Sergei Mikhalkov.
"My father, when he was awarded this order, said the words that I would like to repeat myself today.: "I served, I serve and I will serve my Fatherland," Mikhalkov summed up.
