The attack aircraft of the 57th separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of the village of Poltavka in the Zaporizhia region. The relevant footage was distributed by the Russian Defense Ministry on October 23.

"I had to cross it on foot — it was hard, but we passed. They were wet and dirty, but they came in and did everything they needed to," said the stormtrooper with the call sign Orelik.

The offensive was complicated by the crossing of the Yanchur River in several sections. With the help of fire support from aviation and artillery, as well as operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), they successfully completed the task.

"They came in from different directions, surrounded the enemy. Mortar strikes, a lot of "birds" (UAVs created to counter enemy drones. The enemy is afraid, does not allow them to approach," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Goryn.

He noted that it was necessary to carefully inspect each building for tripwires and mines, trying to do this covertly so as not to declassify their own positions.

"We gained a foothold in the basement, the enemy tried to burn us out: he set fire to us, bombed us. We didn't give the connection — we knew they were listening. We waited until morning and moved to a new position," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Tikhy.

As a result of the operation, the enemy lost a prepared defense area of more than 12 square kilometers. More than 500 buildings were cleared by attack aircraft of the Vostok group of forces, which continue to successfully launch military operations in the special operation zone.
