- AI monitoring of patients at risk of heart attack and stroke to be launched in Moscow
An artificial intelligence-based health monitoring system for patients at high risk of heart attack and stroke will be launched in Moscow. This was announced on Wednesday, October 22, by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor for Social Development.
She explained that based on the data of people who died from cardiovascular diseases, the AI revealed hidden patterns preceding severe complications. These markers were then compared with electronic medical records of Muscovites, which made it possible to identify more than 100,000 people of working age with an increased risk of vascular disasters in the next two years, writes Moscow 24.
According to Rakova, the pilot project is already being used in polyclinics and helps doctors monitor about 30 thousand patients. The system analyzes data on visits, examinations, treatment, ambulance calls and hospitalizations in real time, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
The project is planned to be extended to all city polyclinics in the near future.
