At least five people were injured in an explosion at a Plastics plant in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk region. This was announced on October 22 by a source of Izvestia.

It is noted that medical assistance is currently being provided to all the victims: one person was hospitalized in the Kopeisk city hospital, and four more were sent for outpatient treatment.

In addition, two emergency medical teams are on duty at the scene of the incident, where rescue operations are already underway.

According to preliminary information available to Izvestia, the explosion could have occurred due to safety violations.
