There was an explosion at the Kopeisk enterprise, there are victims

In the city of Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk region, an explosion occurred at one of the city's enterprises, killing four people and injuring several others. This was announced on October 22 by the governor of the region Alexey Texler.

"An explosion occurred at one of the enterprises in the city of Kopeisk. <...> According to preliminary information from the enterprise, four people were killed and several others were injured in the explosion," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

According to him, there is no threat to the residents of the city and the infrastructure. He clarified that representatives of the operational services arrived at the scene of the incident.

On October 17, the press service of the Sterlitamak administration, which is located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, reported an explosion at the enterprise. It later became known that three people died as a result of the incident, which resulted in a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, which negligently caused serious harm to human health").
