Fort Petrov: the legendary show returns with a new host
The buffoon Yashka, the Plague Doctor, the beautiful Foreigner, the soldier of the Preobrazhensky regiment Lavrenty, the master Yemelyan and Alexander Petrov are the new inhabitants of the fort in Kronstadt, which became the platform for the relaunch of the STS television hit. The star guests Dana Borisova, Victoria Lopyreva, Yulia Baranovskaya, Daria Melnikova treated themselves to chewing earthworms. And ordinary viewers wondered what would surprise the audience with the updated show. The details are in the Izvestia report.
Petrov, jester Yashka and Thumbelina's laugh
On the evening of October 22, the secular premiere of the relaunch of the famous treasure hunt show "Fort. The return of the legend." A few months ago, 52 participants jumped from a 25-meter height into the Gulf of Finland, balanced over a precipice, shot arrows at a live target, loaded a Peter's cannon, tasted "vile" dishes (maggot soup, kulebyaku with cockroaches), studied a six-meter world map and walked through dark dungeons full of snakes, rats and scorpions. And today they happily posed for photographers with marmalade worms in their teeth, drank cocktails from test tubes from the hands of the Plague Doctor, exotic names: "Tears of Bluebeard's Widows", "Thumbelina's Laugh", "Squeezes from the heart of Hamlet's father".
— I've always dreamed of participating in this project, but only as a presenter. Sergey Burunov, who ran the Fort before me, warned me that I would have to run a lot. A day or two passes, you have no right to show fatigue, endlessly rushing around, tearing off your voice. It turned out to be much more difficult than I thought," Alexander Petrov, the new project leader, admitted to Izvestia.

According to the artist, he and the organizing team made bets on which of the participants would definitely not agree to certain tests. But some surprised him with their boldness. Instasamka and Moneyken turned out to be such a pair. Petrov noted that they impressed him with their sincerity and efficiency. And Petrov himself noted that he would never eat beetles and sea reptiles.
According to legend, Peter I's treasures are hidden somewhere in the Kronshlot Fort. Famous couples and stars are fighting for the victory: Instasamka and Moneyken, Yana Rudkovskaya and Evgeny Plushenko, Lisa Arzamasova and Ilya Averbukh, Victoria Lopyreva, Yulia Baranovskaya, Rosa Sabitova, Dana Borisova, Daria Melnikova, Alexander Metelkin and others. For many of them, the Fort has become a real challenge, and for some it has become the fulfillment of a childhood dream.
— I've loved this format since I was a kid. I was invited to many similar shows, but I only agreed to "Fort." To be honest, I really wanted to be allowed to eat some bastard, jump off a roof or walk on a tightrope, but for some reason the other participants got the worst of it. I should have written in the questionnaire that I was afraid of something, then they would definitely have given me this test," actor Alexander Metelkin told Izvestia.

And actress Daria Melnikova had to leave her one-year-old daughter for filming. She appeared at the premiere of the show with all three children and her husband Roman Nabatov.
Lisa Arzamasova and Ilya Averbukh danced at a height of 15 meters, holding each other on ropes. Sasha Savelyeva suffered a panic attack, and Sergey Rostov needed medical help after the jump. For others, the trials were no less emotional.: Victoria Lopyreva was injured during an altitude task, and Dana Borisova almost broke her jaw.
— I've been to the French Fort, so I have something to compare it with. I would like a higher level of security. Because I almost crushed my jaw on a wooden spinning thing," Borisova told Izvestia.
What is the difference between the new "Fort" and the original
Filming took place on the territory of the Island of Forts cluster in Kronstadt, a place where the defenses of the Russian Empire were once located. Today it is a cultural and historical park, but the atmosphere of an ancient fort with towers and labyrinths was perfect for a television project.
Initially, French participants competed for the Fort Boyard gold. The project went live in 1990 and became a worldwide phenomenon. Its Russian version first appeared on screens in 1998 and has returned several times. Over the years, the project was led by Leonid Yarmolnik, Nikolai Valuev, Leonid Parfenov, Sergey Brilev, Sergey Shnurov and Sergey Burunov.

The main difference between the new project is the domestic location and the legend. If the French "Boyard" talked about the treasures of the fort on the Atlantic, then the Russian "Fort" immerses the participants in the era of Peter the Great, combining extreme trials with historical surroundings. The key events of the game take place in the fort "Emperor Alexander I", which is also called the "Plague". At the beginning of the twentieth century, it developed an anti-plague vaccine and an immune serum.
Fans of the original project remember that there were two presenters. In addition, Elder Fura was testing the participants for intelligence. "Return of the Legend" will have its own unique characters, although the audience will still see one comeback. So the Frenchman Olivier Sioux, who once played the elder Fur in "Fort Boyard", will now appear in the image of chef Olivier. The participants will compete with the left-handed master Yemelyan (Nikita Vasilyevsky), the soldier of the Preobrazhensky regiment Lavrenty (Eduard Khairulin), the mysterious Foreigner (Alida Nondova) and the Plague Doctor (Vladislav Tretyak). And instead of the famous keeper of the keys, Passepartout will be jester Yashka (Maxim Vasyukin).
The premiere of the new version will take place on October 26 at 21:00 on the CTC TV channel.
