The expert assessed Ukraine's readiness for winter after strikes on infrastructure
Expert of the National Energy Security Fund (NWF) Stanislav Mitrakhovich, Chairman of the Financial University under the Government of Russia, expressed the opinion that Ukraine will face greater energy difficulties this winter than last year, but the situation is not expected to become critical.
In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Wednesday, October 22, the expert noted that compared to last winter, Ukraine is likely to have to face shortages of electricity and gas. According to him, the calm passage of the heating season will depend on a possible truce regarding attacks on energy infrastructure.
He also admitted that the situation is unlikely to reach a critical level, and did not rule out a mutual reduction in attacks on energy facilities.
On October 22, Norway allocated $150 million to Ukraine for the purchase of gas. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also asked for air defense systems, missiles and other assistance, the website writes. kp.ru .
