Alexander Kamkin, a political scientist and associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, expressed the opinion that there are currently no conditions for Europe to refuse to support Ukraine.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Wednesday, October 22, he noted that at the moment there are no necessary conditions for this. According to him, such a scenario is possible only if the Brussels construct and the entire EU system are under the control of the current American administration. The political scientist stressed that in the current conditions, Europe supports Ukraine rather contrary to Trump's position and will continue to provide assistance as long as it has the necessary resources for this.

Earlier on October 22, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the EU would not accept a violent change of Ukraine's borders. He added that he sees Ukraine's future in the European Union and NATO, writes RT. In his opinion, only constant pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine "will lead to a just and lasting peace," the website notes. kp.ru .

On October 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as the leaders of several European countries and the United States, announced the need for a cease-fire on the line of contact. The collective letter was signed by Vladimir Zelensky, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, President of the European Council Antonio Costa, Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, as well as the prime ministers of eight European countries. 360.ru .
