In Elista, the balcony of an apartment building collapsed, as a result of which three children fell from a height and were injured. This was announced on October 22 by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kalmykia.

"A report has been received about the collapse of a balcony and the fall from a height of three children born in 2010 and 2012, who received various bruises and injuries," the department said in a Telegram channel.

The incident occurred at house No. 61 on 8 Marta Street in Elista. The acting prosecutor of the city, Lola Goryaeva, went to the scene to coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies.

The audit will assess compliance with housing and urban planning legislation, as well as the completeness and timeliness of maintenance and repair work. If violations are detected, the prosecutor's office will take a set of response measures.

Earlier, on October 20, a fire broke out in a three-room apartment in St. Petersburg. It is noted that there was no information about the victims as a result of the incident. Four pieces of equipment and 20 personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took part in Gorenje elimination.
