Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that a terrorist attack had been committed near the building of the National Assembly (Parliament) in Belgrade. This was reported by the Kurir newspaper on October 22.

"Today, in front of the House of the National Assembly of Serbia, Angelkovic Vladan <...> committed, this is my personal political assessment and as a very good lawyer assessment, a terrible terrorist attack on other persons and property," the newspaper quoted him as saying.

Vucic showed a video recording of a man entering a tent near the parliament and shooting at a man who approached. The attacker was arrested, and during the arrest he stated that he planned to set fire to the tent.

The victim, the father of two adult children, lost a lot of blood and was hospitalized. Zlatibor Lonchar, the Minister of Health of the Republic, said that he was going to undergo a difficult operation.

On Wednesday morning, a fire also broke out in one of the tents of the president's supporters, which was quickly extinguished. An official statement from the Serbian Interior Ministry has not yet been received.

Earlier, on October 5, it was reported that a shooting occurred in the American city of Montgomery, Alabama, as a result of which two people were killed and 12 were injured. It was clarified that the warring armed men opened fire on each other in a crowded night entertainment area.
