Impeccable technique, radiant smiles and nerves on edge — the best gymnasts performed in the finals of the Strongest Cup in Moscow. The competition was huge, the participants gave their best, the fight was not only for the cup. The best will go to China for the international tournament "Heavenly Grace". Columnist Nikolai Ivanov told Izvestia who showed the brightest program and ended up on the coveted pedestal.

A noble fusion of grace, perfection of lines, emotions and favorite music. The Cup of the Strongest in Moscow is the final of the international series. The start was in the capital in the spring, then Sirius, Kazan and Moscow again, 700 gymnasts from 11 countries. The best of the best are in the finals, and the fight is not just for the cup.

"The top ten athletes in each age category — juniors, seniors, as well as the best three teams in group exercises will be eligible to travel to China for the Heavenly Grace International tournament, which will be held from November 10 to 16 in Beijing," said Tatiana Sergayeva, head coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team.

The competition is incredible.

"The level of competitors is the strongest, in fact, as is the name of the competition. We went through several stages to get here," admitted Victoria Kirnus, the finalist of the Strongest Cup.

"We need to show everything that we have gained during these stages, to show the maximum," said another gymnast.

Ksenia Saliy from Moscow, juniors and seniors from Sirius, gymnasts from Novosibirsk region, Tatarstan, Ryazan region did not pass the main selection for the tournament, but they met the quota of the International Association "Heavenly Grace". They've been given a second chance to prove themselves, and now they're in the finals.

"I was lucky to get into this quota, and I made it to the finals. We are grateful that we can compete in such major competitions," said Ksenia Saliy, the finalist of the Strongest Cup.

There is a lot of emotion in the individual all—around. Olympic champion Alina Kabayeva is in touch with Karolina Tarasova, Ksenia Savinova, and Karolina Pakhtusova, who are students of the Heavenly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

"Learn not to compete for medals, of course, not for grades," Alina Kabayeva tells the young athlete.

The instructions before the performance are expensive. As a result, even the head coach of the national team was amazed by Karolina Tarasova's hoop exercise. But how to put it another way: we prepared in advance. The gymnast received a master class from the Olympic champion.

In the all—around Ksenia Savinova won gold, Karolina Tarasova - bronze. Their coach is Evgenia Eliseeva. Karolina tells us what Alina Kabayeva's words mean to her.

"She talks to us, she supports me a lot. I want to train and work even more," said Karolina Tarasova, a graduate of the Heavenly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

In addition to the all—around cup, Ksenia Savinova won a gold for the club exercise and two silver medals for the hoop and ribbon.

"I did the best in these competitions with maces and in the all-around final. And most of all, we probably need to work on the ball," said Ksenia Savinova, a graduate of the Heavenly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

Among the junior group matches, the Russian team and Heavenly Grace competed for the first place. Coach Anna Ustsova. Alina Kabayeva gives important advice.

"Making the right throw. Everything is right now: they dropped it, one or two, caught it, Dad, let's move on. Come on, girls, get ready, God be with you," Kabayeva said.

The Heavenly Grace group matches are second in the all-around, and silver in the exercise with five pairs of clubs.

"Our next start is in China, so we have a lot of work to do. Basically, they've got everything worked out. Here you need to approach a little from the side of the head, more control training," explained Anna Ustsova, coach of the Heavenly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

Axiom: there are no small things in rhythmic gymnastics. It is very important for gymnasts to warm up their muscles thoroughly before each exercise. Breathing exercises are another very subtle point, there is no way without it.

Of course, every gymnast and every team has their own mascots, they take them to literally all competitions.

"I have a teddy bear and a rabbit's paw. My dad is a hunter, he said it was for good luck," said one gymnast.

"Marshmallow has recently started going to competitions with me," another gymnast confessed.

The seniors are fighting for every hundredth of a point between Milena Schenyatskaya and Maria Borisova. They fight through the pain. The journalists learned the secret of Masha Borisova's high marks from the chief judge of the competition.

– Look, here's a fuete, right? This is a difficult element, as I understand it.

– Yes, Masha does it perfectly. That is, it keeps the shape of the element, the speed of the element and naturally does not allow technical errors," explained Zlata Tulubayeva, the chief judge of the Strongest Cup.

Maria Borisova won gold in the all-around, in exercises with a ball, hoop, ribbon. Her coach is Irina Gusarova.

"I've been exposed to new risks that haven't been fully worked out yet. But we decided that it would be possible to try them out at this tournament. The emotions are only positive," added Maria Borisova, a pupil of the Heavenly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

Everything is just beginning. The best gymnasts of the Strongest Cup will travel to China, where the Heavenly Grace tournament will start on November 10.

Earlier, on October 14, Russian gymnasts, partners of the Heavenly Grace International Association, won gold in the junior all-around and silver in the team competition at the Aeon Cup World Club Championships in Tokyo.
