Preparations for the summit between Russia and the United States in Budapest are continuing. This was announced on October 22 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"Preparations for the peace summit are continuing," he wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

According to Orban, the date of the meeting is "still not clear." The Prime Minister also added that Hungary will organize the summit "when the time comes."

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the exact dates of the summit between Russia and the United States had not been determined, and careful preparations were needed to organize the meeting. According to him, there is currently "no news."

On October 21, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the EU states should do everything possible to ensure that the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump was successful. He noted that despite the lack of information about the exact date of the meeting, they are already trying to disrupt it.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
