A detachment of Pacific Fleet ships arrived at Sattahip port to participate in events with the Thai Navy

A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) consisting of the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, the corvette Gremyashchy and the large sea tanker Boris Butoma arrived at the port of Sattahip to participate in joint events with the Thai Navy. This was announced on October 22 in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.

It is specified that the ships left the port of Vladivostok on October 1. The main purpose of sailing is to fulfill the assigned tasks in the Asia—Pacific region and strategically important areas of the World Ocean. In Thailand, at the Chuk Samet pier, Russian sailors were met by representatives of the command of the Sattahip naval base and the Russian military attache in Thailand, Andrei Alekseev.

Russian military sailors and representatives of the Thai Navy will hold joint protocol and sports events. In addition, the program of the Russian military personnel includes acquaintance with the culture of the host country and visiting the sights.

Russian Ambassador to Thailand Yevgeny Tomikhin, military personnel of the Thai Navy, representatives of the corps of military attaches of friendly states, as well as Russian citizens residing in the country are also scheduled to visit the Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate.

On October 12, a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation arrived at the port of Da Nang, located in Vietnam. It was noted that the arrived Russian military sailors were greeted by officials of the Vietnamese Navy and representatives of the Russian Embassy.
