In Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky, a woman on a scooter set fire to two shops. This was reported on October 22 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

According to a report received by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of the shops caught fire. Employees who arrived at the scene found that the facade cladding was on fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished.

After studying the CCTV footage, the experts found that a woman on a scooter drove up to the store and doused the facade with a flammable liquid. The identity of the suspect was quickly established — she turned out to be a 31-year-old local resident. It is specified that during further investigation it became clear that the woman was also involved in the arson of another store.

"The police stopped the illegal actions of a woman who deliberately set fire to two shops," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

During the interrogation, the suspect was unable to explain her actions.
