The "Carpet" plan, which implies the temporary non-use of airspace, was introduced in the Penza region. This was reported on the night of October 22 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"The "Carpet" plan has been introduced in the Penza region. There is a temporary ban on the use of airspace," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

Oleg Melnichenko, the governor of the region, clarified in his Telegram channel that currently airplanes are temporarily not accepted or released in the aerogavan throughout the region.

On October 19, Artem Korenyako, a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, announced the introduction of temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Penza Airport. The next day, on October 20, it became known about the lifting of these measures, which were taken to ensure flight safety.
