Scammers started sending emails with phishing links to Russians.
A new fraudulent scheme has emerged in which attackers send fake winning emails to victims on some kind of market place with malicious links. This was reported by RIA Novosti on October 22.
After a person clicks on the link, they automatically start downloading malicious software. It clarifies that the "virus" can give a fraudster remote access to a computer or smartphone of a deceived person.
On October 20, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation warned about new fraud schemes on dating sites. It was clarified that the scam was indicated by the refusal of face-to-face meetings after a long conversation, persistent requests for money transfers and excessively "ideal" questionnaires.
