NATO confirms Rutte-Trump meeting in Washington
Mark Rutte, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), will hold a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. This was announced on October 21 on the website of the NATO press service.
"On October 21-22, 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will pay a visit to Washington. The Secretary General will meet with the President of the United States," the publication says.
Earlier in the day, the American leader spoke about a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest. According to him, the decision has not yet been made. He noted that he would not like to "waste time."
