Before the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump in Budapest, we should expect a lot of fake statements about the cancellation of the meeting. This was announced on October 21 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

"While the summit has not taken place, expect a wave of leaks, fake news and statements that it will not happen," he said in a message on Twitter (ex. Twitter).

According to him, such things happen almost before every meeting of the European Council and before decisions on sanctions or the European Peace Fund.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on October 21 that the European Union (EU) states should do everything possible to ensure that the meeting between Putin and Trump was successful. He noted that, despite the lack of information about the exact date of the meeting, they are already trying to disrupt it.

On October 16, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Hungary. He also called the telephone conversation between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States productive. Later, Trump expressed hope for the summit to be held within two weeks.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
