Kaluga highway in Tula to be reconstructed for 13.6 billion rubles

A comprehensive reconstruction of the Kaluga highway will be carried out in Tula. Such plans were announced by Governor Dmitry Milyaev during an expanded meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, according to his Telegram channel.

The cost of the work is estimated at 13.6 billion rubles, TSN24 writes. According to the head of the region, the positive conclusion of the state expertise on the design and estimate documentation has already been received.

The highway is a key transport artery that connects the regional center with the suburbs, neighboring districts, federal highways M-2 "Crimea" and R-132 "Golden Ring". It also houses the cancer center and Tula Arena.

Earlier it was reported that 4,834 km of road markings will be applied in the Tula Region by the end of 2025, of which 3,682 km will fall on regional highways, and 1,152 km on local ones. Modern materials will be used in the work.
