The Moskino Film Commission has approved more than 1.5 thousand films since the beginning of the year.

During the work of the Moskino Film Commission, 3,240 projects were shot with its support, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow. This year, the commission has approved more than 1.5 thousand shootings.

"Since the beginning of the year, the film commission has received three thousand applications. This is 30 percent more than in the same period of 2024," Sergunina said. She noted that representatives of the industry had agreed and helped to organize more than 1.5 thousand shootings in the city. Every fifth took place in the scenery of the Moscow Film Cluster.

More than 90% of all domestic content is shot in Moscow. Thanks to the film commission, obtaining the necessary permits and approvals has become faster and easier than it was before. There are 34 full-scale locations available for filming in the Moskino Film Park, including Yurovo Airport, Old Russian City, Moscow Cathedral Square and Vitebsk Railway Station. It is planned to build 10 more playgrounds, multifunctional pavilions and a hotel complex.

Directors also often use locations in different areas of Moscow. Among the most sought—after are Sadovnicheskaya and Kotelnicheskaya embankments, Triumfalnaya Square, the Moscow Zoo, Kamergersky, Petropavlovsk, Pevchensky and Lyalin lanes, and many others.
