Tatiana Kurtukova and Alexander Ivanov will perform in the new issue of The Battle of Generations

This Saturday, October 25 at 17:00, a new edition of the large-scale show "Battles of Generations" will be released on MUZ-TV, in which the masters of the Russian stage will compete with young artists in musical duels. This time, Alexander Ivanov and the Rondo group will meet in the star ring, and the singer who turned the ideas of folklore upside down is Tatiana Kurtukova.

"Tanya, it seems to me, has occupied her worthy niche. It's good that folk and folk art have become in demand, including on the stage, and good songs have appeared," Ivanov shared his opinion.

The singer of the hit "Mother", in turn, said that her favorite song performed by the group "Rondo" is "God, what a trifle."

Live performances of the artists will be evaluated by a star—studded jury from different generations: Nikolai Baskov, Yana Rudkovskaya, Lada Dance — from the masters; Vanya Dmitrienko, MIA BOYKA, Valya Carnival - from the younger generation of artists. Konstantin Anisimov will be the presenter of the issue.

In the most tender round of the "Love Song," Ivanov soulfully performed his lyrical composition "I'll put the sky under your feet," which tells about his willingness to do anything for the sake of forgiveness for the pain inflicted on a loved one. Kurtukova also conquered the audience and the representatives of the jury with the song "One".

"I've suffered so much from sad songs. Right now I want to listen to love songs and get high. Well, it's impossible to resist you and your voice! Legs, arms, everything is dancing by itself!" — Valya Karnaval shared her impressions.

Lada Dance, commenting on Ivanov's performance, said that during his performance, she felt goosebumps running over her skin and wings growing behind her back.

"I want to thank you for the beautiful poems. Very beautiful songs were written then. Definitely a cool job. I don't know the text, but I want to learn it, I want to sing along with you," Vanya Dmitrienko added.

In the most experimental round of the "Opponent's Cover", Kurtukova presented a new reading of the opponents' track "God, what a Trifle" in her unique manner. Thanks to the new arrangement, the song acquired a folk sound, saturated with authentic folklore motifs. Ivanov and the Rondo group, in turn, performed a remake of Kurtukova's song "Mother", giving it a unique, more powerful sound in the rock genre.

"Tatiana, when you sing, you get goosebumps! My soul is wide open! I want to dance, I want to love this world, this country, and in general, I want to love this life!" — MIA BOYKA was amazed.

Baskov stressed that Ivanov's rendition of "Mother" in the manner of rock sounds even more powerful.

"There are no options here, there is a winner — the song ("Mother")!" the artist summed up.
