Muscovites were warned about heavy fog on the night of October 22

Fog with visibility up to 200-700 m is expected in Moscow starting on Tuesday evening, October 21, and it will last until Wednesday morning. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Moscow on October 21.

"In the period from 21:00 on October 21 to 10:00 on October 22, fog is expected in places on the territory of Moscow with a decrease in visibility to 200-700 m," the statement said.

The agency recommended that drivers observe the increased distance and speed limit — slow down when approaching schools and kindergartens. In turn, pedestrians were advised to be careful when crossing the road, and if possible, use reflective elements on their clothes.

Earlier in the day, forecasters predicted rain and temperatures of up to +7 degrees in Moscow on October 21. It was promised that the thermometer would drop to +3 degrees at night. North-easterly and northerly winds with a speed of 3-8 m/s were expected, as well as atmospheric pressure of 749-750 mmHg.
