AvtoVAZ will operate in a four-day week mode until the end of the year. This was announced on October 21 by Maxim Sokolov, CEO of the Russian automaker Avtozavod, on the sidelines of the Made in Russia 2025 forum, RIA Novosti reported. According to the top manager, thanks to this measure, the company will be able to avoid a large accumulation of Lada cars in warehouses next year.

"As our most highly localized brand, we can confidently say that this measure, although not simple, will nevertheless lead to an improvement in the financial and economic situation," said Maxim Sokolov.

The company's transition to a four-day operating mode was a forced step that was introduced to reduce the stock of Lada cars at dealers, he explained.

Earlier, on October 13, it became known that next year the classic Lada Niva will receive a new engine. We are talking about eight-valve engines with a volume of 1.8 liters and a capacity of 90 hp, which is installed on the Lada Niva Legend SUV.
