The Ministry of Education and Science has determined the preliminary minimum scores for subordinate universities

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has established the minimum number of points for the unified State exam (USE) in subjects for which admission to subordinate universities is conducted. The relevant document was published on October 21 on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

It is noted that in Russian, mathematics of a specialized level, history, foreign language, literature, biology, geography and chemistry it is necessary to score at least 40 points, in physics — at least 41 points, and in social studies and computer science — at least 45 and 46 points respectively.

What effect will this have on the labor market?

In August, Rosobrnadzor informed Izvestia that the content of the unified state exam from 2026 will completely coincide with the curriculum of schools. According to the agency, each task of the Unified State Exam will now be linked to specific points of the program and classes where the material was studied. Normative dictionaries will be added to the Russian language exam as an official source, which will allow graduates to appeal disputed grades. The computer science exam will reduce the number of file formats used as part of the transition to Russian and open source software products.
