Liksutov spoke about Rosatom's Moscow projects
The Atom Museum at VDNH hosted a strategic session of the Rosatom State Corporation and the Moscow government dedicated to forming a long-term partnership. The parties discussed the development of joint projects in the industrial, investment, scientific and technological fields, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
The deputy mayor noted that Moscow attaches particular importance to cooperation with state corporations. He called Rosatom a strategic partner of the city, adding that there are 24 industrial enterprises of the state corporation in the capital, employing more than 20,000 people.
"We are interested in strengthening our partnership in various areas, from the development of Rosatom's property fund in the capital to the creation of the most advanced high—tech industries," Liksutov said. He expressed confidence that the strategic session would be an important step towards creating and implementing a roadmap for long-term cooperation between the parties and innovative projects.
Rosatom implements more than 680 projects in the capital, from the development of a property complex to the creation of large—scale production facilities. The largest of them is the construction of a "gigafactory" for the production of energy storage devices. Moscow is building the plant's building, while Rosatom provides its technological equipment with modern equipment.
The launch of production will be an important step in the development of "green" technologies and electric mobility in the capital, which will make it possible to switch all urban public transport to electric traction, the company stressed. "We are confident that our cooperation with the Moscow government contributes to solving the key strategic task of creating a comfortable urban environment based on advanced technological solutions," said Kirill Komarov, First Deputy General Director of the state corporation.
