Beglov opened a laboratory and production workshop in Kolpino

Governor Alexander Beglov took part in the opening ceremony of the PROMTECH educational, laboratory and production center at the Academy of Industrial Technologies in Kolpino, the governor's press service reported. During the event, the Governor inspected the premises of the Center and the exposition dedicated to the special military operation.

"The new workshops are a direct response to the request of our industry, to the demands of employers regarding the operational provision of in—demand personnel and to the challenges of the time. Within the framework of the urban development priority "Advanced industry and entrepreneurship development" We are expanding the training of qualified personnel in order to fulfill the tasks set by the president to ensure the technological sovereignty and technological leadership of the country," said Alexander Beglov.

The new building with an area of 2,100 sq. m. for 450 students was built in just one and a half years — the use of modern prefabricated block-modular structures significantly reduced the construction time. During the construction of the building, the recommendations of employers were taken into account, as well as modern standards for the arrangement of educational spaces, work areas and recreation areas.

Now the Academy will be able to accept 200 more students per year, and the number of qualifications that one student can receive will increase by 20%. Two new specialties of secondary vocational education will allow the opening of new laboratories "Nuclear power plants and installations" and "Mechatronics and Robotics (by industry)". In total, 18 new laboratories and workshops will start operating in the new building. Students will be trained in modern conditions — a welding range, locksmith workshops, a foundry laboratory, as well as laboratories for gas equipment, additive technologies, metal science and heat treatment of materials, electrical machines, standardization and quality, CNC machines, machines and mechanisms are equipped for them in the educational building.
