The head of production of the workshop in Ulan-Ude chose a measure of restraint after mass poisoning

The court placed under house arrest the head of production in the shop of ready-made food products of the Vostok company in the case of mass poisoning of citizens. This was reported on October 21 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) in the Republic of Buryatia.

"In the criminal case of mass poisoning of citizens against the accused, the head of the production department of ready—made food products of a commercial organization from where food was supplied to store shelves, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest," the department said.

The incident became known earlier, on October 19. Then Rospotrebnadzor reported a group outbreak of intestinal infection in Ulan-Ude. It was clarified that the patients consumed the products of a local company, Vostok LLC.

On October 20, the number of cases of acute intestinal infection and salmonellosis in Buryatia increased to 89 people, including 49 children. It was clarified that one person is in intensive care, his condition was assessed as stable, severe, with positive dynamics.
