The number of victims of food poisoning in Ulan-Ude increased to 121
The number of cases of acute intestinal infection and salmonellosis in Buryatia increased to 121. This was announced on October 21 by the Department of Rospotrebnadzor.
It is specified that 67 of the injured were hospitalized.
The hospitalization of residents of Ulan-Ude in the Republic of Buryatia became known on October 19. All the patients, before they were hospitalized, ate finished products manufactured by Vostok LLC. The regional prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the mass poisoning.
The next day, the production manager was detained in Ulan-Ude. The woman was charged under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the production and sale of products that do not meet safety requirements, which led to serious harm to the health of consumers. At the moment, law enforcement officers are continuing investigative activities.
