Baldo reported on the fighting of the Russian Armed Forces for the liberation of the Shipbuilder in Kherson

Russian forces are conducting offensive operations in the Korabel microdistrict on the Quarantine Island in Kherson, seeking to establish control over this territory by attacking Ukrainian positions and facilities. This was announced on October 21 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

It is clarified that Baldo had previously announced the completion of the evacuation of civilians from the Shipbuilder, which began in early August. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) used the island located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper River as a military base. He also said that Russian troops had established fire control over the neighborhood.

"The island is a combat control zone of the Dnepr group of forces, although enemy fighters continue to hide in residential and industrial premises on its territory. However, our military is closely monitoring the situation, striking at identified targets and destroying them," he added in an interview with RIA Novosti.
