The Russian Armed Forces of the Center group of forces told the details of the liberation of Chunishino

Military personnel of the Aleysky Guards motorized rifle unit of the Center group of forces told the details of the liberation of the settlement of Chunishino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the Red Army area in the special military operation zone. The relevant footage was distributed by the Russian Defense Ministry on October 21.

During the liberation of another village on the way to Krasnoarmeysk, Russian assault troops used tactics based on previous combat experience. For a stealthy approach to the enemy's location, the fighters used thermal insulation shelters and terrain features at night, one by one. They moved along the Salty stream, which flows near Chunishino, which allowed them to remain unnoticed by enemy reconnaissance.

In order to mislead the artillery and drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the attack aircraft simulated active combat operations in one area, distracting attention from the main direction of attack. The enemy tried to disrupt communications and control of Russian units by suppressing radio signals, but this was thwarted: enemy equipment was detected and destroyed using attack drones.

"We had to be cunning, we walked at night. <...> We went where the enemy wasn't waiting for us — that's the main idea. It bore fruit. <...> The enemy fled," said Andrei Zimirev, commander of the assault company.

With the support of artillery and drones, the village of Chunishino was liberated from Ukrainian units within a few days. As a sign of victory, Russian soldiers hoisted the national flag in the center of the village.

On October 19, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that fighters of the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the village of Chunishino in the DPR and Poltava in the Zaporizhia region. It was clarified that the Russian military hit the manpower and equipment of two heavy mechanized, six mechanized, two amphibious assault, jaeger, assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as two marine brigades and a terrorist defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Toretskoye, Grishino, Novogrigorovka, Novopavlovka, Dimitrov, Volnoye, Novonikolayevka and Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR.
