The building of a private medical center, shopping pavilions and cars were damaged during an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Bataysk in the Rostov region. This was announced on the night of October 21 by the governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar.
"On Oktyabrskaya Street, sappers are still continuing to inspect the territory. In addition to shopping pavilions and cars, the building of a private medical center was damaged," reads a message posted on his Telegram channel.
The head of the region added that he had traveled to the city and heard reports from the emergency services. According to him, explosives experts completed an inspection of the house, in which, as it became known earlier, one of the walls was damaged, and then, after making sure that the supporting structures were not broken, they allowed residents to return to their apartments.
Slyusar stressed that he had instructed Pavel Nudgin, head of the regional emergency department, to coordinate the actions of rescuers, and also called on the Bataysk administration to promptly organize the work of the municipal commission to fix the damage in the morning.
On the same day, Slyusar reported that a civilian was injured as a result of a drone crash on two private houses located in the Proletarian district of Rostov-on-Don. According to the governor, the man who received shrapnel wounds was hospitalized. In addition, as the head of the Rostov region added, as a result of the incident, a minor was injured, who also received medical assistance right on the spot.
