Sberbank has increased the minimum deposit rates to 16.2% per annum
Sberbank, starting from Tuesday, October 21, raised deposit rates for individuals by 0.5 – 2.1 percentage points: the maximum rate for citizens will be 16% per annum for three months. This was announced on October 21 by the bank's press service.
"Since October 21, 2025, Sber has been increasing deposit rates. It is most profitable to open a deposit for three months: here the rates are the highest, and the bank has added another 0.5 percentage points to them. Now the maximum deposit rate in Sberbank for new money, or taking into account surcharges, for most customers will be 16% per annum," the agency said in a statement, quoted by RIA Novosti.
It is noted that this increase was recorded three days before the next meeting of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia, which is scheduled for Friday, October 24. In September of this year, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation illustrated the fixation of a neutral signal about potential future steps.
