The military of the Russian Armed Forces revealed the techniques used during the liberation of Chunishino in the DPR

Russian servicemen from the 35th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of forces, who liberated the settlement of Chunishino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), thanks to coordinated actions and a competent strategy, were successfully able to identify and circumvent traps created in the area by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). They told about it on October 21 in an interview with Izvestia.

The commander of one of the platoons, Rustam Mazitov, noted that the Ukrainian military had set up shelters in Chunishino and in the forest belt around it, from where, according to him, they were constantly firing, using heavy machine guns.

Another platoon commander, Stanislav Kalashnikov, recalling the difficulties observed during this operation, added that there were many so—called "postcards" in the village itself - 800 m areas of terrain where there were no shelters. In addition, he stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which installed motion sensors in this area, tried to attack Russian units using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

"Sometimes, for example, a simple pack of cigarettes is lying, and the sensor is hidden in it. And then you walk by, and it goes off. Or in the grass, in such an ordinary one, there's some kind of straw sticking out, as it were, you can't even distinguish it at all, that it's a sensor at all," platoon commander Roman Kochanov told Izvestia correspondent Valentin Trushnin.

Mazitov, continuing his story about the liberation of Chunishino, clarified that the Russian military entered the settlement one at a time, following different paths.

Company commander Andrey Zimirev, reproducing the details of this operation, stressed that Russian fighters entered the village along the river at night and went where "the enemy was not waiting for them."

This route, according to Denis Kulichenko, the deputy commander of the company, was due to the fact that the water and the ground have different temperatures, and at night the ground, which has had time to heat up, knocks down the thermal imager, which begins to perceive all the heat as a "single carpet", because the Russian servicemen, who moved steadily, were not identified by them.

The liberation of Chunishino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) became known on October 19. The Ministry of Defense clarified that in addition to this village, representatives of the Vostok group of forces also liberated the village of Poltavka. The ministry stressed that the Russian military hit the manpower and equipment of two heavy mechanized, six mechanized, two amphibious assault, jaeger, assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as two marine brigades and a terrorist defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Toretsk, Grishino, Novogrigorovka, Novopavlovka., Dimitrov, Volnoye, Novonikolayevka and Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR.
