The Peoples of Russia and the CIS Festival will be held in Moscow

The international festival "Peoples of Russia and the CIS" will be held in Moscow from October 31 to November 5. This was stated in the press service of the office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

"On the eve of the celebration and on National Unity Day, the Peoples of Russia and the CIS International Festival will be held for the first time in Moscow at three venues from October 31 to November 5, 2025. The Festival was organized by the FADN of Russia with the participation of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Government of Moscow, Moskino, Gazprom Media Holding, RUTUBE, the Russian Society Znanie, the Russian Geographical Society, JSC ROSKINO, and the Foundation for the Support of Regional Cinematography, under the coordination of the Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. The Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Institute for the Development of the Internet," the press service of the Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation said in a statement.

The festival combines business, educational and cultural programs. Exhibitions in various areas of the historical, cultural and natural diversity of our country and master classes will be available to visitors of the Festival.

"On October 31, the Festival will begin at the World Trade Center with a plenary session, which will be opened by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu. The meeting will also be attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Magomedsalam Magomedov, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Head of the Federal Academy of Education of Russia Igor Barinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik," the document says.

On November 1, Festival participants will be able to take part in the jubilee X All-Russian educational campaign "Big Ethnographic Dictation", which has already gained popularity all over the world. The dictation tasks are prepared in the form of a test and include 30 questions, some of which were prepared by the partners of the Campaign (the Miklukho-Maclay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Russian Geographical Society). In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and for the first time in the history of dictation, participants in a special military operation will ask their questions. The dictation will be hosted by Valdis Pelsh.

"After writing the dictation, a solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the international photo contest "Russian Civilization" will take place, which has been bringing together photographers from Russia and around the world for the 9th year," the press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation reported.
