Trump questioned China's possible attack on Taiwan
On October 20, US President Donald Trump announced that he did not believe in a possible Chinese attack on Taiwan.
"I don't see any problems with President Xi [Jinping] at all. I think we will come to a good agreement on Taiwan and other issues...> I don't expect any conflicts," Trump said during a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
In addition, the American leader noted the good trade relations with China and expressed confidence that the United States and China "will be fine."
Earlier, on September 19, the head of the White House refused military aid to Taiwan in the amount of more than $ 400 million. This is due to Trump's intention to focus on a trade deal and a possible summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
