Mikhail Bakharev, editor-in-chief of the Krymskaya Pravda newspaper, has died.
Mikhail Bakharev, the editor-in-chief of the Krymskaya Pravda newspaper, has died. This was announced on October 20 by the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his Telegram channel.
"It was with deep sorrow that I received the news of the death of Mikhail Alekseevich Bakharev. This is an irreparable loss," he wrote.
According to Aksyonov, Bakharev was a talented publicist, politician and public figure. The cause of the journalist's death is not specified.
Bakharev was born in January 1947 in Simferopol. From 1984 to 1986, he served as head of the press, radio and television sector of the Crimean Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, and from 1986 to 2006 he worked for the newspaper Krymskaya Pravda, and since 1995 he has served as editor-in-chief.
