Magomed Magomedov, the former Minister of Sports of Dagestan, who also served as the head of the city of Kizilyurt, pleaded not guilty to murder, banditry and embezzlement. This was announced on October 20 by a representative of the Southern District Military Court.

"None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges," TASS quoted him as saying, noting that the other seven defendants similarly pleaded not guilty.
