Omoda showed a crossover in the style of "cyber mecha"

The new Omoda C4 will be the smallest crossover of the Chinese brand. The premiere of the car took place at the International Summit of Omoda and Jaecoo customers, according to a press release from the company received by Izvestia on October 20.

The novelty was previously supposed to be called Omoda C3, but it changed its number. The model name update was the result of collaboration sessions with experts and enthusiasts of the brand.

The Omoda brand has adopted a new approach to car manufacturing, where technologies, designs and use cases of models are formed in close collaboration with users.

The design concept of "cyber mecha" is inspired by futuristic images from the digital worlds. The key visual symbol is the lightning bolt, which is repeated in the appearance of the car from the sharp headlights and angular side lines to the design of the rear.

With the launch of this model, Omoda is betting on personalization — customers will be offered an entire tuning ecosystem. The manufacturer has not yet announced the technical data and equipment of the Omoda C4.

Earlier, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said that from January to August 2025, 424.7 thousand new passenger cars of 64 Chinese brands were registered in Russia. According to the analyst, 34 brands supply their products officially, have dealer networks in Russia and guarantee cars. The cars of the remaining 30 brands were imported into the country under the alternative import scheme.

Haval is the market leader among Chinese brands in Russia with 93.1 thousand units, and it has a full-fledged production facility in the country. The second position is occupied by Chery (79.9 thousand units), which the expert called the most recognizable and "long-playing" brand in Russia. The third position went to the Geely brand (52.9 thousand units), which is considered the most technologically advanced and "Europeanized".
