More than 1,100 solid fuel boilers have been installed in Krasnoyarsk.

All automatic solid fuel boilers, which were planned for 2025, were installed in Krasnoyarsk. A total of 1,132 such boilers appeared in private homes.

New equipment was installed free of charge to replace the old furnaces. Now, thanks to boilers, citizens will be able to save up to 30% on fuel due to their high efficiency.

Combustion in boilers occurs at elevated temperatures in the furnace. The process reduces the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, in particular carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds and dust.

The work was carried out within the framework of the federal program "Clean Air" of the national project "Environmental Well-being".

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the transfer of the private sector to eco-friendly heating has been underway in the regional capital since 2022. During this time, the work affected more than 3 thousand houses. Equipment replacement will continue next year in 2026.

Earlier in September, Izvestia reported that Russian scientists had developed a diamond nanofluid that converts solar energy into heat. The development will improve and reduce the cost of environmentally friendly heating systems.
