A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Russian military personnel continue their successful offensive in various directions. As a result of active offensive actions, fighters of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Lenino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Heavy mechanized, three mechanized, two amphibious assault, assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a marine brigade and a defense brigade were defeated. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 510 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, six vehicles and three artillery pieces.

Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical situation, defeating formations of the mechanized, jaeger brigades, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the Sumy region. Units of the motorized infantry and mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit in the Kharkov direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 200 soldiers, five vehicles, three artillery pieces and three ammunition depots.

"The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated in the areas of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 230 military personnel, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, 19 vehicles and two artillery pieces," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated energy facilities that support the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, storage sites for attack UAVs, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces in 142 districts. In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs and 129 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 91,329 UAVs, 633 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,586 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,604 multiple rocket launchers, 30,624 field artillery and mortars, 44,418 units of special military vehicles.
