The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, has launched the sinking of the left-hand distillation tunnel from Novomoskovskaya to the future Sosenki station. After completion, the line will stretch from ZIL station to Troitsk, combining 17 stations and more than 43 km of tracks.

The new southern section of the Troitskaya metro line, about 17 km long, will connect Kommunarka and Troitsk in 2029. Sobyanin recalled in the MACH messenger that six new stations will be opened: Sosenki, Rakitki, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki and Troitsk.

The branch line will become the largest radius beyond the MKAD and the basis of the TiNAO transport framework. The new line "will significantly reduce the load on the southern sections of the metro and provide new routes for 2 million people," the mayor emphasized in his channel.

Sobyanin announced the start of the second stage in early October. Work began with geological exploration and installation of fences at the sites of future stations. In September, the construction of the first stage of the Troitskaya branch with 11 stations was completed. Modern trains "Moscow-2024" enter the line. The electric depot Stolbovo serves these trains.
