On October 25, the first steeplechase in the history of Dagestan, the "Race of Heroes" from the League of Heroes, the organizer of mass sports events, will take place in the territory of the Erpeli Ecopark in the Buinaksky district. 2,500 participants will attend the start of the sports festival. The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic of Dagestan.

"Despite the fact that we have officially closed the 2025 sports season, the Race of Heroes continues to conquer new regions – Dagestan has joined us. We are starting our cooperation beautifully, because the race in Buinaksk will be the 25th in a row, which we are holding in 2025. It seems to me that the "Hero Race" in Dagestan reflects the national character of its inhabitants – strong, purposeful and able to overcome any obstacle. We hope that the event will mark the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation between the League of Heroes and the Republic of Dagestan," said Igor Kaktysh, head of the Heroes Race project.

Anyone over the age of 18 can take part in the race in a mass start format. Athletes will have to overcome a 7.5 km long track and 28 obstacles, including handlebars of varying difficulty, water obstacles, vertical fences and many others.

In addition to the "Race of Heroes" on October 25, about 800 participants will compete for victory in the arm wrestling tournament in the Erpeli Ecopark.

On Sunday, October 26, more than 1,000 sports fans will take part in the cross–country trail race. Distances of 1, 5, 10 and 20 km are available to choose from.

Athletes with any level of training can take part in the trail – the organizers have provided distances for both beginners and experienced runners. On the track, which will be laid in the Erpeli Ecopark, athletes will face many natural obstacles – ascents and descents, forest trails, forks and other natural obstacles – the tracks are specially designed to keep participants in good shape from start to finish.

In addition, on October 26, the Erpeli Ecopark will bring together 2,000 orienteering enthusiasts for a tournament in this discipline.

Throughout the event, patriotic venues with a variety of activities will be open for guests and participants, where they can visit an exhibition of historical weapons and objects from the Great Patriotic War; take part in a laser tag tournament; try their hand at a mobile shooting range (together with the RD Airsoft Federation); compete for victory in archery tournament (jointly with the RD Archery Federation); get acquainted with the activities on the UAV site (jointly with the RD Drone Racing Federation).
