Investigators have begun checking the emergency landing of the plane in Pulkovo.

The Leningrad Investigative Department for Transport is conducting a pre-investigation check on the fact of an emergency landing at Pulkovo Airport. The incident occurred on October 20, 2025 at 5:30 a.m. (Moscow time), when the plane of the St. Petersburg –Baku flight rolled off the runway, the Telegram channel of the Western Department of Aviation of the Russian Federation reported.

The preliminary reason for the emergency landing was a technical malfunction — the landing gear did not retract during takeoff. There were no casualties, the aircraft was not damaged.

"Investigators are conducting an inspection of the scene and have organized a set of measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances and causes of the incident," the department said.
