The economist called the alarming signals of possible problems with the bank
The Russians were told by what signs it is possible to recognize impending problems at the bank and withdraw their funds on time. This was announced on October 20 by Oleg Akimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Banking and Entrepreneurship at the State University of Management.
According to the expert, the deposit insurance system protects citizens from loss of funds only in the range of 1.4 million rubles. If the amount exceeds this limit or the deposit is opened in a foreign currency, you should carefully monitor the condition of the bank.
"If the amount significantly exceeds the limit or the deposit is made in a foreign currency, then it makes sense to withdraw the deposit before the bank loses its license," Akimov told the Prime news agency.
The economist identified several alarming signals indicating possible problems of the financial institution. Among them are the reduction of credit ratings with a negative outlook, the introduction by the bank of unreasonable fees or restrictions on transfers and withdrawals, tougher measures by the Central Bank, the initiation of criminal cases against management, corporate conflicts between shareholders, the massive closure of branches and losses at the end of the year.
Akimov stressed that the risk of losing funds is higher for customers of small and little-known banks, since such institutions are more likely to close in case of problems, while large ones can be saved through rehabilitation.
Earlier, on October 18, lawyer Alina Laktionova reminded that a citizen may lose the right to inheritance, even if it is specified in the will. This is possible in case of incapacity of the testator, violations of the registration of the document or its forgery. The specialist recommended that the procedure be performed with a medical report and video recording in order to avoid further disputes.
