Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the servicemen of the liaison forces on their professional holiday, which is celebrated on October 20. According to him, the signalmen honorably perform their duty, show high professionalism and dedication to the Motherland, and also act effectively in the context of a special military operation, the Russian Defense Ministry's Telegram channel reported.

"For more than a century, military personnel of the liaison forces have been honourably fulfilling their military duty, demonstrating high professionalism and dedication to the Motherland," Belousov stressed.

He noted that scientists, designers, engineers and veterans who pass on their experience to new generations of the military also make a significant contribution to ensuring combat readiness.

"Looking up to the heroes of their predecessors, they act clearly and competently in the conditions of a special military operation, maintain stable communication on the line of combat contact and at headquarters, and make a significant contribution to the protection of Russia's sovereignty," the minister added.
